Foreign Cocaine Smugglers Caught at Karachi Airport

Reportedly, the culprits had swallowed capsules of cocaine that they intended to smuggle.

Two foreign cocaine smugglers were recently caught at the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi. According to details, the Nigerian nationals had swallowed plastic capsules filled with cocaine, in an attempt to smuggle it into the city.

Customs officials stopped two men travelling from Nigeria to Pakistan through a Qatar Airways flight. Their x-ray examination revealed that the men had swallowed plastic capsules containing cocaine earlier. The officials took the culprits into custody and registered an FIR against them.

In addition to this, the men were taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). There, 161 plastic capsules were removed from their stomach. These capsules were filled with a total of 2.450 kilograms of cocaine.

Reportedly, the foreign cocaine smugglers were carrying cocaine worth Rs. 49 million. The value was estimated in the international market.
