In an unexpected and rather unfortunate turn of events, a friendship became lethal for one. According to the reports, a girl from Hafizabad hired an assassin to kill her best friend over an absurd reason: she wanted to tie the knot.
The crime was reported on Sunday in the Jalalpur area of Hafizabad. The girls, who were once the best of friends turned into sworn enemies when one of them decided to get married and settle down.
Apparently, the two girls had promised to live and die together. They had sworn that they would never marry and when one of them planned to settle down and tie the knot, the other friend took it as a breach of their ‘friendship pact’ and sought brutal vengeance.
It is being reported that the accused stole jewelry worth Rs.250,000 from her own house and used it to hire an assassin.
An audio clip between the accused and the hit man has also surfaced online in which she is heard giving instructions to the man, while dictating the time of the attack. As per her instructions, the assassin entered the victim’s house late at night and opened fire at her.
The victim survived severe injuries and is undergoing treatment at a hospital in critical condition. Meanwhile, the accused girl is on the run. The assassin and his accomplice left their motorcycle and fled from the crime scene.
