Groomsmen Perform ‘Ertuğrul Dance’ at a Lahori Wedding [Video]

There’s no secret that Pakistanis are in love with the series and its characters and people are deeply influenced by them. Ever since Ertuğrul started airing on PTV, it developed a cult following. And now, people  have taken their love for the drama to another level.

The Ertuğrul fever has paved its way into Pakistani weddings and people are uniting their traditions with ancient Ottoman culture.

Just recently, a group of young men performed an Ertuğrul-themed dance at a wedding in Lahore. The group donned traditional tribal dresses and danced to the theme song of Diriliş: Ertuğrul using swords and shields as their props. Let’s take a look at it.

The video stunned its viewers and it has made several rounds on social media as well. The groomsmen are giving us major friendship goals and netizens are loving their style.

The Turkish period drama is not just popular in Pakistan, but people all over the world are hooked with it. Earlier, a 60-year-old American woman embraced Islam after being influenced by Resurrection: Ertuğrul.

“It was about a history I’ve known nothing about. It got my attention with what it said about God, Islam, peace, justice and helping the oppressed… I became Muslim right that day,” she said.
