Diriliş: Ertuğrul has been a massive hit among the Pakistani audience. Just days ago, PTV started airing the Urdu dubbed version of it on the request of Prime Minister and it looks like the public appreciates his decision. It seems that celebrities too are enjoying the show.
Hamza Ali Abbasi also expressed his love for the drama in a very unique way. In a video recorded by his wife Naimal, the Alif actor shows off his guitar skills by playing the theme song of Diriliş: Ertuğrul.
The Turkish epic show is highly praised for its story line, cast, cinematography, and literally everything. Diriliş: Ertuğrul revolves around the life of a warrior, Ertuğrul Ghazi. The show also highlights some important parts in Islamic history and therefore, PM Khan wanted it to be dubbed in Urdu for the Pakistani audience.
“We have always had content from Hollywood and Bollywood which was then being showcased here. A third end culture is being promoted. That’s why I want our youth to know the difference between our culture and theirs,” he said.
