Mahira Khan and her Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad costar Fahad Mustafa are on a promotional tour for their film. Recently, the two sat down for an interview on Dunya TV’s On The Front talk show.
During the interview, the host got Mahira Khan to talk a bit about her career and her journey into stardom. Mahira began her career as a VJ and got her big break with the film Bol. During the time, she was married to Ali Askari and the couple just had their son, Azlan.
The host asks Mahira if she had any problems with her husband or in-laws after becoming an actress. Mahira quickly says no and explains that her ex-husband has always been supportive of her.
Even though I’m not with him anymore,” Mahira says, “but up till now, aside from my abba, amma and bhai, I don’t think there’s anyone more proud of me than my ex-husband. Because he knows my struggles.”
Mahira further adds that her former spouse is always the most happiest whenever she lands a major role in a drama or film.
Mahira met Ali Askari back in 2006 in Los Angeles. The two tied the knot in 2007. However, after eight years of marriage, the couple split up.
Mahira Khan has won the hearts of her audiences not only in dramas but also in blockbuster films like Bol, Ho Man Jahan, Bin Roye, and Superstar. Recently, she made a comeback to the big screens with the film Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad alongside Fahad Mustafa.
