After a four-year wait, the Badshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, is returning to the big screen. He took a brief pause before returning this year with appearances in films like Brahmastra, Laal Singh Chaddha, and Rocketry.
He was most recently seen in Anand L Rai’s Zero, which bombed at the box office, much like his previous flicks, Fan and Jab Harry Met Sejal.
Shah Rukh Khan, who recently stated that he wants to do a film like Leon: The Professional and portray the part of an ‘older, extremely intense and silent person,’ will be featured in these upcoming films.
1. Pathaan
The film, which has already sparked controversy for its song, Besharam Rang, which has Deepika Padukone in a saffron bikini, is due to be released on 25 January.
Manish Sharma directed the action-thriller, which also stars John Abraham.
Pathaan is said to focus on a RAW agent whose nickname is Pathaan, and how he takes on an ominous villain who plans to destroy India’s security infrastructure.
2. Jawan
Shah Rukh Khan teamed up with South Indian director Atlee for this one. Jawan will be released on 2 June in five languages across India, including Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada.
The film also has Vijay Sethupathi in the role of the major antagonist, Nayanthara portraying the female protagonist, and Thalapthy Vijay in a guest role.
3. Dunki
Dunki brings together Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani, and fans have high hopes for it. Taapsee Pannu will also co-star in the movie.
While the producers have kept the plot of the film under wraps, the word on the street is that it is based on donkey flight, the method by which many individuals use immigration loopholes in order to reach the United Kingdom through the back door via other European nations.

4. Tiger 3
Salman Khan turned to social media to reveal the new release date for the highly anticipated Tiger 3. The film, which was originally scheduled to be released on Eid will now be released in three languages on Diwali instead.
According to India Times and Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan might appear in a cameo in this movie.
5. Hey Ram Remake
Shah Rukh Khan has purchased the rights to Kamal Haasan’s 2000 movie, Hey Ram, according to the former actor Kamal Haasan. The film, which was written and directed by Kamal Haasan, is based on the political upheaval that followed Nathuram Godse’s assassination of Mahatma Gandhi.
While it has not been verified, India Times reported that Shah Rukh Khan would reprise Kamal Haasan’s role in the film.
6. Operation Khukri
Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, Operation Khukri, is a Bollywood war drama based on the Indian Army and Air Force’s operation of the same name.
Shah Rukh Khan’s production company, Red Chillies Entertainment, has begun to work on the film that is based on the original rescue mission by the Indian military to rescue nearly 200 Indian troops taken prisoner by rebels in Sierra Leone, West Africa.
7. Izhaar
If the buzz is to be believed, Shah Rukh Khan is once again ready to collaborate with Sanjay Leela Bhansali after their 2002 blockbuster, Devdas.
Abp Live disclosed, “It was a film that Sanjay Leela Bhansali wanted to do with SRK roughly four years ago.”
Izhaar is said to be based on the true story of an Indian man who rode all the way to Norway to find love.
