South Korean boy group BTS is currently the biggest boy band in the world. And this isn’t a perception of a few. Some of the biggest music award shows swear by them.
Given their popularity and success, they are also vulnerable to criticism, simply because they are ‘Asian’ and their style of music and dressing is different from the ‘conventional’ standard.
And to be honest, we as ARMYs or simply K-poppers, are tired of listening to nasty remarks like:
- ‘Are you sure they are not girls?’
- ‘Why do you listen to them when you can’t understand what they are saying?”
Lets get real for a second here. Because hey, everyone listening to Despacito knew what the song lyrics were about right?
And when it comes to ‘biased’ jokes and ‘racist’ remarks, most desi males have always made sure to jump into the bandwagon because they think K-pop idols are not manly enough all because they wear makeup and jewelry.
Really? Do famous rappers and hip-hop artists don’t flaunt jewelry? Did superstars like David Bowie and Prince never rock makeup? We really need to check our own biases sometimes.

Ducky Bhai Makes a Racist Joke
Keeping all of the above mentioned biases in view, Ducky Bhai just mocked BTS by comparing them to corona virus.
https://twitter.com/bts_pk_projects/status/1236280172590096384
In his exact words, ‘there is a disease which is even more dangerous than corona’ and when he said this, he showed a picture of BTS in the background. *Not cool bro, not cool!*
In response to his blatant remarks, Pakistani ARMYs came out to report his YouTube channel collectively.

this ducky bhai may be funny but I don't find his 'jokes' funny at all especially about a deadly virus AND referring it as bts

But things didn’t end here.
Ducky Bhai then decided to blur the picture and thought that it would remedy the backlash, but the damage was already done.
He's blurred their faces now🤡 but BTS's picture is still there. He should've removed the picture instead of blurring them. pic.twitter.com/CPD4VAp5gA

Soon, he came out with an explanation, which was completely absurd in a lot of ways.
Alright so there was a 1 second picture of BTS in my video that was left by my editor. And people went crazy after i posted that. So I've removed the whole picture. Sorry if you got offended. Calm down bruh.

He tried to put the blame on his editor and instead of sincerely apologizing for his actions, it looked like he was mocking the fans. He also edited his bio and wrote, ‘Number 1 BTS fan account #ARMYForever’.
However, ARMYs were smart enough to differentiate between ‘apology’ and ‘sugar coated sarcasm’.

An apology includes a word SORRY, if everyone supporting him ever heard of that.. and exactly hes blaming us for being offended like bro what??? We need him to post a frickin apology.. https://t.co/SFijE3Bbqj

He replies me with this and then does that on his account.. I mean what the heck bro???????? pic.twitter.com/2dQL6EjYPe

ducky bhai stop throwing his editor under the bus= challenge failed

Ducky Bhai was being undoubtedly mean and prejudiced against BTS and he definitely needs to reflect on his actions. However, it is also worthy to note that ARMYs aren’t a fandom you can mess with. They have, they do and they will always protect their precious boys from all the harm and hatred in the world.
As a K-Pop fan could say, kudos to BTS and ARMY! We purple you!
