Geo Network the media partner for Yasir Nawaz’s Wrong No. 2 has purchased the rights for the film.
The film starring Sami Khan and Neelam Munir, received a handsome amount for its satellite rights.
Entertainment portal HIP in Pakistan broke the news of this mega-deal. Wrong No. 2 producer Hassan Zia spilled the beans regarding this deal.
“Yes, I can confirm that we have signed a contract with the Geo Network to involve them as our media partner. We have also sold them the satellite rights of our film.”

Recently the Wrong No sequel bagged approximately Rs 40 lacs for its music rights, courtesy of Zee Music. That’s a record price for music rights.

Now with word of the mega-deal for satellite rights, we wonder if this was for another record price. The producers managed to pocket a pretty penny indeed. With Geo Network as their media partner, they took the lion’s share of the deal.
Here’s How Much Geo Paid for Wrong No 2 Satellite Rights
Based on what Hassan Zia had to say, the film’s media partner procured its satellite rights. Given this is Geo Network, they were offered a good amount, Rs 1 crore to be exact.
“Tier 1 channels usually offer a good price for a successful film’s rights, but the terms may not be so favorable for those which are not,…..Since our team has a strong track record with commercially successful ventures like Wrong No. and Mehrunnisa V Lub U, we were able to avail a good deal and sold our rights for an amount a little under 1 crore.”
With Geo Network taking the lion’s share, what will the production team get? The team expects to make Rs 1.8 crores in pre-release deals prior to the film’s premiere in theaters. And that’s not all.
Mr. Zia added:
“(This) would give us a margin of about Rs 4 crores for recovery from the theatrical release.”
Wrong No. 2 release date is scheduled for Eid-ul-Fitr.

Wrong No 2 cast includes Neelum Muneer (Dil Mom Ka Diya) as well as Sami Khan Sami Khan (Rasm-e-Duniya). The two will play the leads in the movie. Other than them, Mehmood Aslam, Nayyar Ejaz, Javed Sheikh, Danish Nawaz and Yasir Nawaz will also be joining the movie.
