Hira Mani Is On a Mission To Feed The Poor

The actress has encouraged people to step up and join the initiative.

Due to the lock-down because of the coronavirus spread, labor workers and the poor in Pakistan, who worked for daily wages, have been suffering the most. While many of us have the luxury of staying at home and isolate with family, there are people who cannot afford to stay indoors all day as they have no steady income or resources to feed themselves. People cannot afford to buy things with no work these days.

As a result, a lot of celebrities alongside NGOs and governmental organizations have been busy distributing ration among the poor and have been asking for help and donations.

Hira Mani is one of those celebrities who has stepped up with a goal in mind, which is to provide and feed as many hungry stomachs as she possibly can. Hira started off with her ration drive and has so far completed her fourth dispatch.

Hira took to Instagram to ask people for help in a heartfelt post.

You can be a part of my team. Today Marium sent me 6 packets and you can too. We distribute everything from water bottles to flour, sugar, pulses, whatever you want to contribute), ” wrote Hira on her Instagram.

The Do Bol actress also responded to the people (e.g Sanam Jung) who have been criticizing celebrities for posting pictures of their charitable acts as a way to boost their likes and fan following. Hira stated that she isn’t showing off but just needs people’s help and get the word out. Hira wrote,

“The picture is just to show you that you can join hands with me and contribute as much as you can. Please help.”

Despite criticism of whether or not the pictures should be posted, Hira Mani’s initiative has to be commended and we should all strive to do our part in helping the poor people in need of food. Stay posted for more news.
