Style goals.

red sari

Red is a gorgeous color but not everyone feels comfortable in it. They think it’s too vibrant for them and feel like it’s not their color. But they couldn’t be more wrong. It is everyone’s color and with the perfect shade, you can outshine the sun itself.

A red dress should be your wardrobe staple and a red sari? Even better. Recently, two of our favorite celebrities were spotted wearing a red sari and they both looked as beautiful as ever.

If you are wondering how to pull off a red sari with the perfect makeup and accessories, look no further my friend. We got your back. Here we have a short guide for you to pick your favorite style and step up your fashion game. Let’s look at our inspiration for the day, shall we?

Iqra Aziz’s Classic Touch

Iqra Aziz wore a classic red sari at the wedding ceremony of Sadia Ghaffar and Hassan Hayat Khan. She opted for a middle-parted bun and gold statement jewelry, giving us traditional vibes.

Her makeup was subtle with a natural glow all over her face. The nude makeup look neutralized the brightness of the sari and that’s when you get a ‘picture-perfect look’. Nonetheless, Iqra looked gorgeous and gave us a soft evening look for the shaadi season.

Saboor Aly’s Modern Twist

Saboor Aly’s sari is not exactly a sari. It is a nightgown that is inspired by the traditional dress. Separated by a wide belt, the lower part of the gown resembles the neat plaits of a sari whereas the upper part of the gown resembles the loose ends of a sari which we call as pallu.

Saboor Aly wore this dress at her sister Sajal’s wedding dinner. Paired with a watch and pearl earrings, Saboor represents modernity – adding her own value to the centuries’ old dress.

Her hairstyle and makeup is very similar to Iqra minus the golden glow on her face. Saboor’s makeup is rather matte with a glossy nude lipstick that goes well in summers.

So which one did you like better? Iqra Aziz’s classic red sari or Saboor Aly’s gown inspired by sari? Let us know in the comments.
