Hum Network Limited has officially addressed recent media reports claiming that Mr. Duraid Qureshi, the long-serving CEO of the company, has stepped down from his position.
In a statement issued to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company categorically denied these claims, clarifying that Mr. Qureshi continues to serve as CEO and remains actively involved in managing the company’s affairs.
In its official statement, Hum Network Limited emphasized that these reports are inaccurate and misleading. The company stated:
It has come to our attention that certain media publications have incorrectly reported that Mr. Duraid Qureshi has stepped down as CEO of Hum Network Limited. It is hereby clarified that Mr. Duraid Qureshi continues to be the CEO of the Company and is diligently performing his function in respect of the management affairs of the Company.
The statement further revealed that the company is in the early stages of succession planning, a process that involves identifying and assessing potential successors and providing them with the necessary training for future leadership roles.
However, the company stressed that no decision regarding the CEO position has been made at this stage.
“Any decision with respect to the role of CEO of the Company will be disclosed promptly and transparently, if and when such decision is made by the Board of the Company,” the statement added.
Hum Network also urged its shareholders and stakeholders to rely solely on information disseminated through official company channels and to disregard unverified reports from other sources.
For now, stakeholders are advised to await official announcements from Hum Network Limited regarding any future developments.
