The International Cricket Council (ICC) held a photoshoot of the captains of the 16 teams participating in the World T20I on Saturday, and Pakistan’s skipper, Babar Azam, and his Indian counterpart, Rohit Sharma, enthusiastically stepped up to it prior to their high-octane match.
However, the photoshoot sparked a hilarious meme fest on social media.
Azam and Sharma’s extra-friendly photoshoot took the cake and had everyone in stitches on social media. The two skippers were in such good spirits and camaraderie that netizens felt that they were posing for a desi wedding photoshoot.

Fans came up with hilarious captions for the entire ICC photoshoot, turning the T20I World Cup into a proverbial desi wedding.
The 2022 T20I World Cup kicked off this weekend in Australia with the first round. The main group (Super 12) matches will start on 22 October, starting with the high-octane match between Australia and New Zealand at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The men in green will start their World Cup campaign with an important win over their arch-rival, India. With the likes of Fakhar Zaman and Shaheen Shah Afridi back in the starting lineup, Pakistanis are hopeful of a victory.
