Imran Abbas Becomes the Second Actor to Back Out of “Chakkar”

Just when you think we finally get to see Imran Abbas debut in a Pakistani film, things take a turn for the worse. The actor has now become the second male lead to have backed out of Yasir Nawaz’s ‘Chakkar‘.

Previously Entertainment.pk reported that Imran Abbas had joined Yasir Nawaz’s upcoming thriller film ‘Chakkar‘. Now the same outlet reports that the Koi Chand Rakh actor is no longer a part of the film.

We all know that Yasir Nawaz has locked in Mawra Hocane for his upcoming 2020 release. Yet the male lead of the film has not yet been finalized. Initially, there were reports that Feroze Khan would play the lead opposite Mawra Hocane.

Later on, reports came in that Imran Abbas has replaced Feroze Khan in the movie. Fans were excited to see the Khuda Aur Mohabbat actor finally make his debut in the Pakistani film scene. Especially since he had already made his Bollywood debut with Creature 3D.

There was also hearsay that after Feroze Khan, Bilal Ashraf had also been approached for the role. It was rumored that although Bilal Ashraf was interested in the script, he refused to work with Mawra Hocane.

Yasir Nawaz is famed for his Wrong No. franchise. Now the comedy director trying his hand at a thriller film in his directorial with ‘Chakkar‘. Given Imran Abbas’ work in Creature 3D, he would have been a good choice for the film.

He’s co-producing this film with his wife Nida Yasir. The filmmaker also wrote the script and co-wrote the screenplay with Zafar Imran.

He is currently busy shooting his ongoing project Ye Dil Mera Dushman by Six Sigma Production.
