Most of us can agree that congregational prayers and Tableeghi Jamaat gatherings amid the Coronavirus outbreak have presented a problem. However, that does not excuse Islamophobia in any way.
Yet Islamophobes like Rangoli Chandel has never been one to proceed with reason and rationality. The sister of Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, went all out with using Muslims in India as a scapegoat for Corona.

Sadly at a time when we talk about global efforts to combat this global crisis, people still won’t drop the hate. While even Muslim countries have bans on all gathering including congregational prayers, the Indian government is cracking down participants of Tablighi Jamaat.
Initially, there were no bans in place to prevent social gathering and the Tableeghi Jamaat proceeded as planned. Later as the number of Coronavirus cases climbed in the country these people were used as a scapegoat.
#TableeghiJamaat ended on March 15th. Jammat held gathering in Delhi before lockdown & ban on religious gatherings. After lockdown, they wrote to Police to arrange transportation to leave. Every tragedy needs a villain and what better can it be then Muslim community in India?
