Desi weddings are famous for a number of reasons. Be it the extravagant decor, the dancing, large guest lists, and of course, the amazing food. However, get the food wrong and things might take a turn for the worst. That’s exactly what happened in India… again.
If the food is too good, wedding proceedings could conclude without much fuss. If the food isn’t good enough, there’s a chance that a massive food fight is incoming. That’s what happened at the Piccadilly Hotel in Janakpuri, New Delhi.
Food Fight at Indian Wedding
When the guests disapproved of the food ,all hell broke loose. The guests lashed out at the staff and they took it not outside, but to the kitchen. The crowd used cutlery, steel trays and utensils against each other.

Some people didn’t even realize a fight had broken out. Both the bride and groom’s side of the family tag teamed against the venue staff.
The bride was from Vikaspuri and the groom from Uttam Nagar. Already putting their differences aside, who knew that bad food could bring them together.

Pretty soon the police were called in. Police looked into crowd control and then filed charges against the families for disturbing the public peace, assault of the hotel staff and for damaging hotel property.
It wasn’t just the hotel staff that ended up in the hospital. The staff put up quite a fight and put some guests in the hospital.
It’s really embracing to see people fighting for food!!!
And all of them are looking well educated and well off.????
