Motherhood is hard enough on its own. To add to that is the unnecessary burden of mom-shaming. That’s why starlet Iqra Aziz is calling out those that judge women that couldn’t have a natural birth such as herself.
Back in July 2021, Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain welcomed their beautiful baby boy, Kabir, via Caesarean section. There is a lot of judgment and stigma towards women that struggled to have a natural birth and need a Caesarean section.
Despite the fact that a Caesarean section is a serious surgery, and comes with a whole lot of complications, Pakistanis consider them to be ‘easy births’.
So the Suno Chanda actress is trying to change the narrative. She shared her husband Yasir Hussain’s Instagram story about appreciating women who have delivered through C-sections. She captioned the story;
“I probably wouldn’t have had the confidence to tell the world how Kabir was born because of our maashra [society] being judgemental (I admit I was one of them at some point), … But my love, by (sharing this post) you have made me feel loved and appreciated. Love you for always giving me confidence.”

She then gave a shoutout to all mothers out there being harshly judged while taking on the most difficult task in the world.
“Shout out to all the ladies who went through a major surgery to bring their child safely into this world.”
