Iqra Aziz Withdraws from Project with Feroze Khan in Stance Against Domestic Abuse

The actress won the hearts of her fans with her selfless bravery.

Actress and mother, Iqra Aziz, has announced her withdrawal from the project Sanwal Yaar Piya with Feroze Khan after allegations of domestic abuse by him were recently made by his ex-wife Aliza Sultan.

She joins her peers Ushna Shah and Dania Enwer she is supporting Aliza Sultan with this step.

The Ranjha Ranjha Kardi star issued a statement on her social media account stating that it was a difficult but necessary decision.

The Suno Chanda star finally broke the silence, and also the contract for Wajahat Rauf directorial Sanwal Yaar Piya.

Iqra Aziz and Feroze Khan recently appeared together in the blockbuster drama serial Khuda Aur Muhabbat 3. Her older sister also clarified that it was a hard decision because this serial was her comeback after being a mother but she didn’t want to side with an oppressor.

Her husband and fellow actor, Yasir Hussain, also shared a post stating how violence affects the mental health of children and mirrors the actions of their parents.

He shared a lovely picture with his wife and penned down the following heartfelt note:

It read:

Alhamdulillah, I love my wife and child a lot. If I raise my hand on my wife, then there is a ninety percent chance my son will do the same.

He added, “It is quite normal for couples to fight, but hitting each other like animals is absurd. I am strictly against domestic violence, whether the horrid act committed by an ordinary man or a superstar.

Yasir Hussain ended his note with a prayer for Aye Mushte Khaak star’s ex-wife, “I support Aliza and her family. May God get her out of this misery and bring more peace to her life. Ameen”.
