Aadat – the heartbreak anthem by Atif Aslam is still one of the most iconic songs from the early 2000s. And lately, fans have been requesting him to produce a song with a similar vibe because Aadat is superior – nobody can disagree with that.

The singer graced the July cover of HELLO! Pakistan and his exclusive interview with the magazine tells us a lot about his journey and his passion for music.

Speaking with the interviewer Atif Aslam shared that music helped him find God.

“Now when I look back at my great journey, my emotions are completely different but music has always been there with me. It has helped me find God.”

The Woh Lamhe singer also said that he wants to ‘reinvent’ himself and try various genres instead of repeating one genre over and over again.

“I want to reinvent myself and challenge my own genre – by reinventing myself I mean, whatever I have done in the past, I shouldn’t repeat that and try different music.”

So does that mean we won’t be getting another version of Aadat any time soon?

“I think making a cult song like Aadat again is very difficult and you shouldn’t revamp it until you get a feeling from your heart and I haven’t gotten it yet.”

On the other hand, his upcoming song Rafta Rafta, featuring Sajal Aly will be releasing soon. The teaser for the music video will be released today, July 16.
