Is Atif Aslam’s ‘Pehli Nazar Mein’ a Rip Off of a Korean Song?

This is indeed a strange discovery.

Pehli Nazar Mein

Plagiarism and copyrights violation is a huge issue in the entertainment industry. Over the years, we have seen a lot of labels and artists stealing credits from the original creator. And so, it comes with no surprise that netizens have once again discovered that Atif Aslam’s Pehli Nazar Mein is a rip off of a Korean song.

Atif Aslam’s Pehli Nazar Mein is a popular romantic song from Bollywood film Race. The song was released back in 2008, but still remains a public favorite for numerous reasons. But Atif Aslam’s fans will be disappointed to hear that it is actually a rip off of an old Korean song.

In a strange discovery, netizens found that the song is an Indian copy of the Korean song I Love You by Kim Hyung Sup which is the OST of the drama Sassy Girl Chun-hyang.

Social media users took to the micro-blogging site to express their disappointment in the label and called them out for not giving due credits to the Korean song makers.

The beat and melody of both the songs are very similar, however, many argue that Atif Aslam’s version is better than the classic hit. But we’ll leave it here for you to decide which version is better. Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
