People can arrange the most absurd things for a unique wedding. From underwater weddings to plane weddings. Well, if you want to get married mid-air Emirates airlines has you covered.
The COVID-19 pandemic may have placed destination weddings on hold, so it’s unclear how Emirates plans to go about these plane weddings.

How does one pile in family and friends for a wedding 40,000 feet in the air? Is this for real? Netizens have their doubts too. Some called this an April Fool’s joke.

Others actually loved the idea. After a turbulent 2020, looks like anything goes. That would definitely be a one kind of a wedding.

Is This Possible?
So how will this work? Will the airline allow you to book a flight for your wedding. What will determine the destination of the flight?
Did Emirates even think this through? Because they haven’t provided details on this service.

Aside from the issue of feasibility. If an airbus is being flown out just for a wedding, is it worth the carbon emissions?
Greenhouse gas emissions for these weddings will yield nothing but shock value, as these flights aren’t transporting commercial travellers. Also, a plane wedding is definitely not an eco-friendly approach.
Good thing Emirates isn’t deliberating on how to make this possible. The airline later confirmed that this was indeed an April Fool’s Day joke. Relief for the environment.
Hi, this is an April fool's day joke. We're not offering the service.
