Talk show host Nadia Khan and veteran stars Marina Khan and Atiqa Odho have declared that Tan Man Neelo Neel star Shuja Asad is a superior actor compared to Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
During a recent discussion, Nadia Khan pointed out the striking resemblance between Shuja Asad and a younger Salman Khan, but quickly pivoted to emphasize that looks alone don’t define talent.
“Yes, he does look like Salman Khan,” she acknowledged, before adding, “Salman Khan may be a very big star, but Shuja is a better actor.” This sentiment was met with enthusiastic agreement from her fellow critics.
Nadia elaborated on her praise for Shuja, stating, “In terms of acting, Shuja is way ahead of Salman. He is a natural actor. The control that he has over his voice and the way he uses his eyes and body language to express, it is just amazing.” Marina Khan chimed in, noting, “Every time this boy has come on screen, he steals the show from everyone.”
While the Pakistani entertainment industry celebrates its own, the comparison has not sat well with some Indian fans. Cranky Salman Khan supporters took to social media, expressing their dismay and even threatening to take action.
One user lamented, “Why are Pakistani people so delusional about their actors? Why do they compare everyone with Indians?” Another added, “Madam, if you said this on any Indian show, they would throw you out the next day.”
However, these comments from Indian fans seem to miss the point. The reality is that Salman Khan, despite his massive stardom, has often been criticized for his limited acting range and repetitive roles. His films frequently follow a formulaic pattern, relying more on his star power than on genuine acting prowess.
In contrast, Shuja Asad’s performances showcase a depth and versatility that many believe set him apart from the Bollywood superstar.
