Is the PSL 2022 Video a Copy of the Olympics 2012 Video?

As #LevelHai was trending on Twitter due to the TitTok-esque video, many wondered who’s idea was this?

Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ramiz Raja made headlines with their Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 inauguration video.

As #LevelHai was trending on Twitter due to the TitTok-esque video, many wondered who’s idea was this? According to the Internet, the video is based on an Olympics promo video.

The video for the PSL inauguration ceremony showcases Chairman PCB visiting the PM’s office and asking him to join them to finally start the PSL officially.

An almost identical concept was used for Olympics 2012. That video showcases Queen Elizabeth as James Bond actor Daniel Craig walks in to escort her to the inauguration ceremony.

Netizens were all praises for the PSL 2022 video, lauding the marketing team behind the idea. While some may argue the two videos are ‘identical’, there are several distinct elements between the two.

The Olympics 2012 concept is more grandiose and flashy. The only real similarity between the PSL 2022 video and the inspiration video is the opening sequence.

What do you think? Is the PSL 2022 video a copy of the Olympics 2022 video? Or is it just inspiration? Let us know in the comments below.
