A poor woman has claimed to be the long-lost sister of renowned singer/songwriter Sajjad Ali. The video clip of the poverty-stricken lady has gone viral on social media,
The woman in question, Bushra Akhtar, revealed that she and Sajjad Ali share the same family lineage, raising questions about the authenticity of the woman’s claims.
A YouTube channel had an interview with the woman claiming to be Sajjad Ali’s sister.
She introduced herself as Bushra Akhtar and said,
I am from a classical music family. Baray Ghulam Ali was one of my grandfathers. He was my real grandfather’s brother. I am Akhtar Hussain’s daughter. My brother Sajjad Ali is listening, and if he does not care about me, I would still pray for him and ask Allah to provide him with health and pleasure. We are from the same family.
Bushra went on to say, “Maybe Sajjad Ali would like to meet us, but he doesn’t know our address, but I know he’s a very generous person”.
Much like her “brother”, Bushra also has a beautiful singing voice. The destitute woman also said that singing is something she dreams to pursue but is unable to do so due to her financial situation. Bushra Akhtar currently works as a housemaid and occasionally sings at Darbars. She has two children and a husband who is unable to provide due to his illness.
