Jemima Goldsmith Auctions Her Film’s Private Screening To Aid Flood Victims In Pakistan

Goldsmith took a step playing her part in helping the flood victims

The ex-wife of former prime minister Imran Khan – Jemima Goldsmith has been quite vocal about the devastating floods in Pakistan. She has been appealing/urging organisations and people to donate.

Recently, Jemima Goldsmith took a step playing her part in helping the flood victims, the British screenwriter, announced that she is putting her upcoming film ‘What’s Love Got to Do with It’ up for auction in order to collect funds for flood victims in Pakistan.

 

She further added, the cherry on top, the highest bidder will get the chance to watch the film at a private screening with his/her twenty friends.

Taking to social media, Jemima wrote:

“In aid of Pakistan’s flood victims. We are auctioning a private screening in London for up to 20 people of our film ‘What’s Love Got to Do With It?’ See you there.”

The auction ends on 8th September at 12:15 pm BST. The minimum bid Increment is £500.00 and the starting bid is GBP 2,000.

The rom-com film follows documentary filmmaker Zoe, played by Lily James, for whom swiping right to track down Mr. Right has just conveyed awful dates and interesting tales, much to her stubborn mother Cath’s disappointment.


For her childhood friend and neighbor Kazim (Latif), the answer is to follow his parents’ example and opt for an arranged marriage with a bright and beautiful bride from Pakistan.

As Zoe films Kazim’s hopeful journey from London to Lahore to marry a stranger, chosen by his parents, she begins to wonder if she might have something to learn from a different approach to finding love.


The movie starring Sajal Aly, Shabana Azmi, Lily James, and Shahzad Latif is set to release on September 10, 2022.
