The transgender actor, Alina Khan famous for her groundbreaking role in the award-winning film Joyland is recently crowned the Miss Trans 2023 of Pakistan. She termed this moment as one of the best moments in her life.
She took to her Instagram account and shared a picture of her clad in a shimmery gown with a Miss Trans sash and a tiara.
She captioned,
A wonderful night to remember, May 31, 2023!! It was my crowning ceremony yesterday, and it was one of the best moments of my life. I got the beautiful title of Miss Trans Pakistan 2023!
I would like to thank @soniaahmedofficial and @misstranspakistan for this wonderful opportunity. And all my fellow contestants who shared the stage with me.
Talking to the media the star shared her feelings and experience at the pageant she said,
The feeling of being crowned in front of my Trans community is a very great feeling because it gives us a voice through this platform to represent ourselves. I feel very happy and accomplished.
Miss Trans Pakistan is organized by Sonia Ahmed and was first held in 2021 when Shryaa Roy was crowned. It is the first pageant dedicated to Trans women in the country and gives an opportunity to Pakistani transgender women to go abroad and represent the country in other international pageants.
