Karachi Gets Its Most Heaviest Rains [Videos + Pictures]

Weather forecasts predict at least a couple of days of heavy rainfall.

It is monsoon season in the city of lights and as predicted the roads are flooding left, right, and center. People are now taking to their social media accounts to shed light on what the situation is around the city of Karachi.

Met issued an urban flooding alert in the city as heavy rainfall created disturbance amongst the residents. The monsoon spell started around 4 am on Tuesday, and hasn’t stopped since. Many areas have also reported having power outages.

Areas like Malir, airport, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Shah Faisal Colony, Azeempura, DHA, Mehmoodabad, Akhtar Colony, and Clifton are experiencing heavy rains and problems with traffic.

Karachi Electric has tweeted out a warning for the citizens:

Pakistan Meteorological Department predicted 3 days of continuous rainfall. During this period Sindh will probably see 100–150mm of rain combined. Met director Abdul Qayyum Bhutto said there is a danger of urban flooding in Sindh and Karachi.
