Karachi Is Getting A New Food Street at Burns Road!

The city is giving back to citizens.

Deputy Commissioner and Administrator DMC (South) Irshad Ali has announced that Karachi is getting another food street. This new food street will be situated at Karachi’s iconic Burns Road.

Starting January, 10, 2021 the pedestrian food street will offer yummy food and just an opportunity to get out of the house after a long lockdown. The district administration really just wanted to do something good for its citizens.

The new food street will start at Fresco Chowk lead up to Fatima Jinnah Women’s College.

The UC administration South announced that Shahrah-e-Liaquat from Fresco to Court Road will be blocked by 7 pm for traffic daily. Incoming traffic from Araam Bagh to Fresco will be diverted towards M.A Jinnah Road and People’s Square instead.

No vehicles will not be allowed at the pedestrian food street. Residents of the area will be provided with stickers as proof of vehicle parking. However, visitors at the food street on Burns Road will be provided a valet parking service.

In case of emergencies, an exit route has also planned for escape.
