Karachi Police Arrest Fake ‘Pir’ For Sexually Assaulting Woman

A self-proclaimed ‘faith-healer’ was apprehended by police for allegedly raping a young woman in the metropolis’ area of Baloch Colony in Karachi. Law authorities have confirmed that a First Information Report or FIR has been registered against the fake pir, who is a suspect in the case.

Crimes against women in the country continue to worsen as more and more sexual assaults are reported nationwide. While the law authorities do their best to apprehend as many of these criminals as they can, more incidents of sexual violence paint a dismal picture altogether.

Ever since the infamous Lahore-Sialkot motorway gang-rape incident, the number of sexual assault cases has risen at an alarming rate.

The latest incident of sexual assault comes from Karachi’s Baloch Colony as a self-proclaimed ‘pir’ or faith-healer attempted to rape a young woman. An FIR was registered against the suspect, which led to authorities taking action against him.

Fortunately, the police have managed to apprehend the culprit during one of their raids in the suspect’s last known hideout. The police’s raid in the Dadabhoy Town near Baloch Colony was successful as this phony ‘faith-healer’ is now behind bars.
