Screenwriter Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, on Thursday, expressed his disapproval of the assassination attempt on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan, during the Haqiqi Azadi March rally in Wazirabad on Thursday.
The Mere Pass Tum Ho writer shared a bit of poignant poetry with regards to the incident on Twitter.

وہ بات غیرت کی کر رہا ہے

Imran Khan Shot at PTI Rally
The former Prime Minister sustained bullet injuries to his leg after an unknown gunman opened fire on him during his Haqiqi Azadi Long March rally at the Allahwala Chowk in Wazirabad on Thursday.
PTI member and former Governor of Sindh, Imran Ismail, said that Imran Khan was shot “three to four” times in the leg.
PTI supporter Muazzam Nawaz lost his life, while 14 other party leaders and workers, including MNA Ahmed Nasir Chattha, Omer Mayar, and Senator Faisal Javed Khan were among the injured.

Imran Khan was quickly moved from the rally container to a bulletproof vehicle and transported to Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Lahore. His condition is stable, according to recent reports.
Celebrities around the world poured in their condolences and sent their prayers and heartfelt wishes for Imran Khan.

A renowned Pakistani writer, director, Urdu poet, lyricist, and occasional actor, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar is best known for writing the dramas Pyarey Afzal, Sadqay Tumhare, the 2019 ISPR-produced film Kaaf Kangana, and the megahit drama serial Mere Pass Tum Ho.
He also announced on Wednesday, Khalil that the story of his hit drama serial, Mere Pass Tum Ho, will be published and released as a novel in December.
