Kubra Khan is back in action and this time, she has signed up for a silver screen project. According to the details, the Alif actress will star in Asad Malik’s debut film Abhee alongside singer and actor Goher Mumtaz.
Abhee is written by Goher Mumtaz himself and has already gone on floors. The star studded cast of the film includes names like Asif Raza Mir, Yasra Rizvi, Hina Bayat, Saleem Sheikh, Usman Peerzada, Mehmood Aslam, and Mohammad Ehteshamuddin.
The filmmakers are aiming for a 2021 release and they have already wrapped up their first shooting spell. Shot in the stunning terrains of Kashmir, Abhee is said to be a romantic thriller. It is indeed a lesser-explored genre for Pakistani cinema and this is a first for Kubra Khan as well.
As far as the music is concerned, Goher Mumtaz has prepared a treat for the audience. It is being said that the he has composed the music for the film and big names like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Aima Baig will feature in the soundtrack.
But the most interesting news is that Kubra Khan has also lent her voice to one of Goher’s compositions in the film. She is going to be a part of the soundtrack and this will surely be one of the highlights of the project.
