Sarah Khan as Falak is earning praises from fans for slapping back her husband Daniyal in the latest episode of Laapata. Many are calling her ‘the queen of slaps’ for putting an end to domestic abuse in Pakistani dramas.
Slapping a woman is sort of like a ‘mandatory’ scene in almost every Pakistani drama. The men of the house, either father, brother but mostly, husbands are often seen slapping the bechari, mazloom woman. But enough is enough and we are glad that Sarah Khan is the one to put an end to this sick dramatization.
In the latest episode of Laapata, Daniyal (played by Gohar Rasheed) slaps his wife Falak as depicted in many other Pakistani dramas. What distinguishes this scene is that Falak slaps him back and warns him that if he ever lays his hands on her, she will break his arms.
The scene went viral on social media and fans started sharing their edits. Sarah also posted one fan edit on her Instagram with a voice-over that says,
“If your boyfriend slaps you, slap him back. He is not your father!”
