A shopkeeper in Lahore allegedly attacked and injured a woman with a glass bottle. According to reports, the two had a heated argument over the price of a product.
As an old saying goes: “The customer is always right.” This is a motto that shopkeepers and restaurant owners follow all around the world. Accommodating the customers’ needs are an essential requirements of a good salesman. However, in Pakistan, it seems one shopkeeper thought otherwise.
In a country where shoppers trample each other over latest garments and women are harassed on almost a daily basis, acts of violence are fairly common.

Recently, an incident has been reported in the Ghaziabad area of the provincial capital of Punjab, where a shopkeeper attacked a woman buyer. According to details, the woman and salesman got into a heated argument over a product price. Tossing aside all business and sales ethics, the man allegedly hit the woman with a glass bottle and injured another man.
The woman has reported the incident to Ghaziabad police station. An FIR has been registered against the shopkeeper but the police have not taken any action against the culprit until the woman’s medical report is available. The woman believes that police are siding with shopkeeper and are deliberately delaying her medical report.
