Malala Yousafzai and Asser Malik marked their first wedding anniversary yesterday in a fun video in which they read tweets about their relationship and replied to them.
The Nobel Peace Prize laureate and education activist was unable to keep a straight face right at the beginning and said, “This is Malala and Asser, and there’s something really important that we need to tell you”.
“We’d like to address some serious comments,” Asser Malik added.

The couple tied the knot last November last and took everyone by surprise.
Asser Malik, who is the General Manager of the PCB’s High-Performance Centre, and Malala Yousafzai had a small nikkah ceremony at the Yousafzai residence in Birmingham, UK
The couple had earlier known each other for a few years prior to getting married.
Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist for female education and a Nobel Peace Prize laureate. She is also the world’s youngest Nobel Prize laureate, and is known for human rights advocacy, especially for the education of women and children in her native Swat Valley in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
