The National Cybercrime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) arrested a man named Ghulam Kazim for blackmailing a woman using a private, explicit video.
He reportedly forced her to pay over Rs. 700,000 in cash to keep the video from being shared on social media.
The woman told police that Kazim secretly recorded an inappropriate video of her and threatened to release it unless she gave him money and other favors. She said he had already taken Rs. 700,000 from her.
The NCCIA caught Kazim during a raid on Autobahn Road in Hyderabad and seized his mobile phone, which contained the video and other evidence. Kazim lives in Sobho Dero, Khairpur district. An official case has been filed against him.
Authorities are investigating if he has blackmailed other victims as well.
