In a horrific incident of violent crimes against a woman, a man desecrated a grave over the rejection of his marriage proposal.
In Chobara Tehsil of Layyah, a man allegedly desecrated the grave of his ex-mother-in-law to get back at his ex-wife. He did so after his ex-wife rejected his proposal for remarriage.
As per news reports, the accused, Yahya alias Pappu, divorced his ex-wife Asma Bibi, some four years ago. Later changed his mind after thinking about it. So he proposed the idea of marrying her again.
When Asma refused the remarriage proposal, Yahya lost his temper and resorted to revenge.
The suspect allegedly poured petrol on the grave of his ex-mother-in-law and set it on fire. He then fled from the scene.
Police have registered a case against two accused and managed to arrest one of them, Ramzan. He is the brother of the primary accused. Meanwhile, the main accused is still at large.
This is yet another tragic crime surrounding a rejected marriage proposal. Stories of acid attacks are pretty common in this regard.
