Man Gets Fined for Riding a Bike with ‘Wazir-e-Azam’ Number Plate

Wazir-i-Azam

A man was fined for riding a motorcycle bearing a strange number plate in Mandi Bahauddin. Apparently, the number plate had ‘Wazir-e-Azam‘ (prime minister) inscribed on it which caused the issue. Moreover, the color of the plate was black and the letters were inscribed in red.

When the traffic warden noticed it, he charged the citizen named Tauseef Raza with a fine of Rs.200 for riding a vehicle with an illegal number plate. According to details, the citizen lost his cool as he had been riding this motorbike for the last two years.

Tauseef Raza said that he bought the bike with the ‘Wazir-e-Azam‘ number plate two years ago and since then, he has been riding it peacefully without paying any fines.

“No one dared to intercept and fine me. How dare they fine me after two years?,” the citizen erupted.

Driving a vehicle with words/names on it is illegal as it is, but changing the colors is also not allowed. As responsible citizens of Pakistan, it is our duty to abide by the traffic rules before complaining about them. There are a lot of issues with the system, but we need to play our part for an improvement.
