Former Bollywood actress Zaira Wasim finally got her long overdue justice against a molester after a Mumbai special court intervened.
According to the former child star, she was molested during a flight in 2017. The culprit, Vikas Sachdeva, has been given a three-year-prison sentence by the court for his inappropriate conduct during the flight.
Two years after the incident, the 41-year-old man was finally convicted on Wednesday and booked under the Section 8 of the POCSO Act and Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code.
Zaira Wasim was one of the brightest child stars in Bollywood. The young actress garnered praises from public and critics for her performance in Dangal. Despite such success, Zaira left the industry as she felt uncomfortable. It has been a while since Wasim announced her exit from Bollywood due to religious reasons. Her last movie was The Sky is Pink alongside Priyanka Chopra.

Zaira Wasim shared her uncomfortable experience with her loyal fans on Instagram. She stated that the man, Sachdev, molested her while she was ‘half asleep’ during her flight from Delhi to Mumbai. According to the Dangal star, Sachdev repeatedly touched her inappropriately by moving his foot up and down her neck and back. Zaira also added that she had informed the airline staff about the incident but at the time, they did not help her.
