Man Who Spread Fake News About Attaullah Esakhelvi’s Death Arrested

Fake news travels fast. But at least they caught the guy who spread it this time.

The police authorities have arrested a man for spreading rumors of legendary classic singer Ataullah Esakhelvi’s death on social media.

They arrested the resident of Retra Taunsa Sharif two days back for spreading false news. However, the culprit was later released after the singer himself forgave him.

Attaullah’s secretary has also confirmed that the singer was in good shape and health, and there was nothing to worry about.

The legendary singer, in a Facebook video, thanked all his fans who prayed for his health. He informed that he has recovered from the illness and has returned home after the recovery.

“I’m perfectly fine, as you can see. I was hospitalized last week but that only affected my one show. I went on to conduct my Multan show recently. I have another show coming up on April 13 in Dubai. I was informed of some of the bizarre rumors circulating on social media.”

The singer said he couldn’t stand properly while being conferred with the civilian award [on March 23] but he can walk just fine now.

Esakhelvi concluded with a special thanks to those fans who prayed for him in Mecca and Medinah.

Attaullah forgave the people who started the rumor mill regarding his ‘demise’ on social media.
