Mansha Pasha is Shocked About What Happened at LGS

She wants institutions to take strict action.

Mansha Pasha

The Lahore Grammar School 1A1 scandal left everyone feeling angry and frustrated. To think that one of the top schools in the country harassed female students for so many years. The scandal has sent shockwaves throughout the country.

Many celebrities have spoken out on the matter. Recently, Masha Pasha took to her Twitter account to share her opinion.

The 32-year-old is a Pakistani actress and television presenter who has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. Her supporting roles in shows like Shehr-e-Zaat, Madiha Maliha, Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Virasat, and Mera Naam Yusuf Hai earned her a lot of fans and followers.

According to her, we are taught since a young age that our elders can never be wrong. This causes confusion because, sometimes these very elders take advantage of a child’s innocence.

Mansha says we should be empowered enough to question authority from a young age.

In Pakistan we are taught deference to authority.

Its taught to us at every point from a young age; whether its for parents, older relatives or teachers. Elder = right; younger = wrong.

But what happens if the person in authority does something that feels wrong? Blatantly wrong.

The Laal Kabootar actress further added that when someone in authority is wrong, it creates confusion and trauma for the young.

It creates confusion and trauma because it goes against everything we have been taught and made to believe.

This along with the severity of the claims of absolute abuse of power made by the young men & women studying at diff institutions in Lahore makes me realise and empathise with the absolute confusion and resulting trauma they must have felt.

She ended her thread by calling on institutions and telling them to keep a close check on their staff.

I hope the perpetrators are brought to light and institutions bring a strict form of check and balance and code of conduct for all staff members to prevent such incidents from occurring again.

We hope institutions take this scandal as a lesson and do everything to ensure the safety of its students. Do you agree with Mansha Pasha? Let us know in the comments section.
