VJ Mathira is not happy with veteran actor Faysal Qureshi’s remarks regarding women working in showbiz while also taking care of their kids. Recently, the Fitoor sat down to share his experience working with various actresses in showbiz. He explains how many of the top stars have to step away from the limelight due to family.
“Most actresses get married and are investing time in bringing up their children and some actresses working on sets are keeping a check on their kids. It is always difficult for girls because they have more responsibilities. We think that we run homes but actually it’s the ladies who do this job.”
Faysal gave the example of Iqra Aziz, who he believes is a talented actress but after the birth of her son Kabir, we rarely see the Suno Chanda actress on TV. Hence, her husband Yasir Hussain is working constantly on new projects.
“Nowadays, Iqra is not working just because of the same reason, on the other hand, Yasir is doing projects one after another.”
Model and VJ Mathira did not appreciate the statement made by the veteran actor. She took to her Instagram to criticize Faysal Qureshi, writing:
“One should appreciate a woman doing multitasking. Why is it [that] a woman’s career goes down the drain if they [get married] and have kids?”
She added further, “It’s pretty sad to hear a statement like this.”
