Okay folks, so kind of a bittersweet news for those of us shipping Mawra Hocane and Adeel Hussain, they might just be working together. Turns out the two are set to share the screen in drama serial Daasi.
We finally have some teasers out for Daasi, making us fangirl over the on-screen couple.
So far we’ve just gotten a glimpse of Mawra Hocane’s ‘Sunehri‘. Sunehri seems to be jovial and playful. Then there’s also something that suggests she’s selfish.
“Sunehri doesn’t see anyone besides herself.”

The other teaser tells us Adeel Hussain’s character has a thing for Sunehri. Is it a puppy crush or real love? Based on the forlorn look on his face, we think Sunehri is the ambitious kind who doesn’t have time for romance.
“Raise flags of success, and the whole world will gleam with pride.”
So is Sunehri a self-centered childish girl, or is she an ambitious woman?
Mawra and Adeel in Daasi
Ishq Tamasha writer Misbah Nosheen penned the script for Daasi. Meanwhile, Jaal director Mohsin Talat will be directing Daasi.
Both these stories are of women who wanted to do more but find a happy marriage fulfilling enough. There’s a tragedy at the center of these stories, which end up drastically changing the plot and direction of the show.

We think that Daasi might go along the same line, though its still early to tell. A tragedy may just be what pulls apart Sunehri and Adeel Hussain’s characters.
Anyhow it’s great to see Adeel Hussain back on our screen after so long. Daasi also cast Faryal Mehmood.
Hum Network has not put out a release date for the drama serial. With the teasers out, we’re expecting Daasi to hit the screen soon enough.
