43-year old Irtiza Rubab (aka THE Meera Jee) has astounded us yet again. Confirming the rumor that Emran Hashmi, the lead actor of an upcoming Bollywood movie “Chehre“, asked for her hand in marriage. Now, that’s a proposal we did not expect!
The “Baaji” actress is known to incite quite a few gossipers into talking about her startling stories. We love her devil-may-care attitude for that reason alone.

In an interview with the host of “Humarey Mehmaan” Meera not only confirmed the rumor that Emraan Hashmi had proposed to her but also added that she had to say no “Because of her family.”
Does that mean she wanted to opt for it, but couldn’t because of her fam-bam? We all can definitely relate to her on some level.

Adding to the shock, she also admitted that the Bollywood director Mahesh Butt asked her to consider actor Ashmit Patel in this whole marriage department. It looks like someone’s getting a lot of rishtas.. Both Meera and Ashmit co-starred in the movie “Nazar” and maybe Mr. Butt saw them as a great couple?

In other news, Meera Jee responded to other questions and said she hates fear and isn’t afraid of losing anything. She said,
“People who lack talent have such fears, talented people don’t have such fears (of losing popularity), I hate fear.”
Commemorating the beginning of her career; she added that the actresses she looked up to the most included Neeli, Madhuri Dixit and Marina Khan.
