Last week, ‘journalist’ Tarek Fatah shared a movie clip from Load Wedding, dramatizing Pakistan’s polio eradication issue. After he was called out by Mehwish Hayat for passing around a movie clip as factual information, he deleted the tweet. Though it looks like he’s not done yet.
In an attempt to get back at Pakistani actress Mehwish Hayat, this time Tarek Fatah shared an article from the New York Times. The NYT article details Pakistan’s struggle to eradicate polio and the mistrust towards vaccination and polio workers. As well as attacks on these health workers.
Hi @MehwishHayat, just wondering if this @NYTimes report too is false as its based on the film that featured you.

The Actor-in-Law actress pointed out how she never denied the fact that Pakistan was battling polio. She just pointed out how Tarek needs to get his fact straights because the clip he shared was from a movie.
Never denied this is not a problem. My job as an actress is to raise awareness of these issues and educate people. That is what our film did. Glad to say that we have already immunised 35m of the 37m target, rest will be done soon as well InshaAllah . Thank you for your concern ! https://t.co/M0B4FRsqG3

Netizens pointed out how Tarek Fatah was still bitter and sore from his last face-off with the Load Wedding actress.
Lol dude, this article is from April 2019. Almost 9 months old. No one is denying problems in the polio drive in Pakistan.
Please raise awareness about cow urine and cow dung baths too.
Also, the last exchange between you and MH ended in an epic shut up call. She won. Chill out.— Atif Ahmad Raja (@RealAtifAhmad) January 16, 2020

I think you should've started your tweet with an apology for being so ignorant & not well updated with correct information. But it is also not rational on our part to expect such humble act from someone like you. So please continue with whatever you have under your sleeves.

This Hollywood Actor is All Praise for Hero Pakistani Polio Worker
Netizens thanked him for raising more awareness, unintentionally ( turns out some good did come out of this).
One Twitter user even pointed out how Pakistan’s efforts are recognized, as even Ashton Kutcher gave a shout out to a polio worker last year.
Tarek Fatah’s tweets are doing nothing but creating more awareness of Polio and the amazing work our #Polio teams do everyday.
Last year Hollywood Actor Ashton Kutcher shared a video of one of our amazing teams walking through hazardous snowy conditions to get their job done. 👍🏽— Natasha Kundi (@NatashaKLondon) January 16, 2020

Previously Tarek Fatah, a purveyor of hate against Pakistan, tweeted an ‘exposé’ of Pakistan’s ongoing polio epidemic. Except his ‘factual’ video was actually a movie clip.
When Mehwish Hayat pointed out that the clip was from her movie Load Wedding, Tarek Fatah deleted the tweet.

Now he re-emerged in an attempt to save face. And got humiliated again. Talk about a rough afternoon, that too in the middle of winter.
