It has been just a couple of days since the mega-hit drama serial Mere Pass Tum Ho concluded. The finale set new records with its massive advance sales as it was viewed by thousands in cinemas nationwide.
We’re not kidding when we say that fans of the show are still reeling from the finale and are talking about it on social media.
With so much talk of the ending and the immense popularity surrounding the show, is there a possibility of a potential sequel to MPTH?
Yes, you heard it right. The much-talked about drama starring celebrated actors like Humayun Saeed, Ayeza Khan, Adnan Siddiqui, Hira Mani and Shees Sajjad Gul among others, could have a sequel series.
With the finale opening to full houses all across Pakistan, Mere Pass Tum Ho’s playwright Khalil ur Rehman Qamar has hinted of a sequel in the works during ARY’s program Bakhabar Savera.
Although the finale’s tragic ending disappointed many fans, nonetheless it remains one of the most popular Pakistani shows in recent history. The last time we got all hyped up over a Pakistani drama serial was Humsafar, and that aired in 2011!
Khalil thanked the fans for their tremendous response for the show and revealed that he is very much considering writing a sequel,
“I normally do not write sequels for my dramas, but I may think of a sequel for this one.”
The sequel will definitely create a lot of buzz and excitement. The only question is, will it live up to the hype and popularity of Mere Pass Tum Ho. What do you think? Should there be a sequel?
