Merub Ali Talks About How ‘Backstabbing’ Friends Messed With Her Mental Health, Caused Weight Drop

There is another side to her that has come out stronger after struggling with mental health.

Merub Ali started acting at such young age and rose to fame in a very short span of time. She got recognition through her debut supporting role in Sinf e Aahan and then later she appeared in Ramadan special Paristan.

The diva was already in the news for her association with Pakistan’s heartthrob Asim Azhar, especially after his breakup with Hania. But behind an amazing actor and a sass queen, there is another side to her that has come out stronger after struggling with mental health.

Recently, Ali appeared in a podcast with Mooroo, who also happens to be her co-star. The Paristan actress revealed some of her struggles with mental her and her weight drop.

She spilled that back in 2020 she has a quite rough patch in her life, she was struggling with mental health due to some of her friends backstabbing her which resulted in a weight drop, appetite loss, and deteriorated mental condition.

Merub Ali also said that she has a very sensitive nature and the rude attitudes of people really seem to affect her deeply. But now she has improved quite much and does not really pay attention to negativity.

The starlet further said that she had a weight drop and could not eat anything, and was bullied also for going underweight. She used to record herself while eating and send it to her closest friends to assure them that she was taking care of herself.

Later, the actress realized that she could not lose any weight further. So, she worked hard and pulled herself out of anxiety and depression.
