Asian parents can be pretty demanding, especially with their expectations towards their children. But one Desi mom took things too far when her electrical engineer son couldn’t fix the ceiling fans.
What these engineers do is design electronics and fix them. Does that mean an electrical engineer ought to be able to replace an electronic repairman? One Desi mom thought ‘what use is this engineering if it didn’t make you a handyman’ and ripped-up her son’s degree.

CisTheta reported that on a hot day when the ceiling fan broke down, a mother asked her son to quit playing video games and fix the fan. After trying for hours and failing, the mom tore up his degree in Electric Engineering.
Maybe the lockdown got to her, or maybe that’s just her on a casual day. The son and father were brought to tears by the incident but the mother held her ground.
