As Pakistan International Screen Awards are set to take place for the first time in Dubai, there is already a dark cloud shrouding the credibility of PISA 2020.
Comedian Nabeel Zafar of Bulbulay fame has come forth about how the award show used his name to market their event and the mis-commitment that followed.

We’ve been hearing for a while how Nabeel Zafar was listed among the nominees for ‘Best Actor in TV Comedy‘. Now the Bulbulay star has come forth about how his name was listed in the nominations and his name used to promote the event.
All this being said, his attendance at the event was not arranged. The actor alleges that a Public Relations firm Bodybeat has ghosted him. Given this, is it fair to say that this is a case of false advertising or unlawful use of a celebrity brand?
Technically celebrities are paid for endorsements when they allow the use of their platform. Yet in Nabeel Zafar’s case, while he allowed the use of his platform, the commitments made to him were not fulfilled. Meaning the organizers forfeited permission to use the celebrity brand.
