The entertainment industry is filed with models turned actresses. Bollywood is home to many models that have gone onto become popular actresses. One such celebrity is Nargis Fakhri.
The New York-born model made her Bollywood debut in Imtiaz Ali’s immensely popular Rockstar. Starring alongside renowned actor Ranbir Kapoor, Nargis received critical appraise from fans all around the world. Since then, she has gone to star in several other films like Madras Café, Housefull 3 and Azhar to name a few.
Recently, the Bollywood actress was interviewed by former adult star, Brittni De La Mora. Nargis talked about her career and various model shoot offers. Some of which she refused. One particular offer was for a Playboy magazine.
Nargis had this to say:
“When I was modelling, there was this college edition Playboy magazine thing. My agent said they are asking for girls, they have chosen to see you if you would want to do something like that. I was like, Playboy is so huge and the money was so much! But I said no thanks, I’m good. I was really happy to work in Bollywood because they don’t do such bold scenes. That made me so happy, because I am so not into getting naked in front of a camera. I can’t do. Any overly sexual or passionate scene would be difficult for me because even though it is acting and what you are supposed to do, I had reservations about that.”

The Rockstar actress also shed light on how she lost some projects, because she did not want to compromise on her values. She continued,
“I always knew that I am not going to be so hungry for fame that I am going to pose naked or get intimate with a director. I have lost jobs because I didn’t do certain things and that was heartbreaking because I am trying to live in a place where I have high standards and boundaries, and it sucks! And even though I got kicked out more than once, I reassured myself that people like myself will win in their own way.”
Nargis Fakhari has managed to make a name for herself without compromising on her morals. Fans have gained a new-found respect for the actress. We hope to see more of what she has planned for the future.
