A dance clip of Nauman Ijaz and his wife went viral on social media that made Pakistani awaam go from “MashaAllah” to “Astagfirullah!” as netizens were upset with the DJ’s song choice.

Pakistanis may shout “Is this the Islamic Republic of Pakistan!?” to every other showbiz actress dancing at a wedding, but people are always happy to see old celebrity couples shake a leg together.

However, that was not the case for Parizaad star Nauman Ijaz and his wife, as the couple’s recent viral dance video received a lot of flak online. Here are a few comments.

For context, the song played during the wedding ceremony is called Jai Jai Shiv Shankar from the hit 1974 Bollywood film Aap Ki Kasm starring Rajesh Khanna.

Shiv Shankar is one of the deities from the Hindu religion, whom Indians worship as their supreme god.

Nauman Ijaz is a veteran of the Pakistani entertainment industry. He has played several roles and has been a senior actor on state television PTV since 1988.
