Naveen Waqar Asks Why Women are Always Blamed for Failed Marriages [Video]

Marriage is about two people. So why not consider men?

Naveen Waqar

We all know Naveen Waqar, who debuted as the antagonist in Humsafar. Since then, she’s taken on a range of roles where she’s often painted out to be the ‘bad guy’ in her crumbling marriage from Mah-e-Tamam, to Tajdeed-e-Wafa.

Recently the Josh actress opened up about the issue of blaming women for failed marriages. In her appearance on ‘Bol Night’ with Ahsan Khan, Naveen Waqar asked why is it mostly women who are blamed over an unsuccessful marriage.

Even host Ahsan Khan seconded her on that.

Ahsan says that people criticize you by saying:

“You could not take care of your husband well, now look what happened.”

Some even go so far in blaming women when their partner would not settle.

“You were not enough for him and look what happened.”

He added that, on the contrary, Islam teaches both the husband and wife need to respect each other to make their marriage successful. This observation is in sharp contrast to how society believes that only the women are supposed to make marriages work.
